Video updates incoming

So I’ve been liking the cadence of a newsletter post once every couple weeks. I have a hard time working on stuff I don’t find interesting - so that two week period gives me time to really find a topic that gets me excited to write. The problem with that is that I can’t get the topic out of my head, so instead of endlessly tweaking the post, I decided to funnel that extra energy into something new - video summaries.

I found I enjoy the process and challenge of getting everything from the post into a 90 second or less video. I started off doing some longer, real summaries of the posts and found: Ain’t no one watching something over two minutes long, and honestly, even 90 seconds feels like a stretch based on what I found researching those engagement metrics. They aren’t carbon copies of the newsletter posts either, a lot of text-y and math-y stuff doesn’t translate well to video, so there’s still useful information that may not make it in the newsletter.

So… that’s what’ll be coming in the off weeks between newsletters, I had fun making them, hope y’all enjoy.
